Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2025

Welcome to MultiConvertLab. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our platform.

Summary

In plain language: MultiConvertLab is a free tool that processes your files locally in your browser. We don't store your files, and we're not responsible if something goes wrong. Use our service responsibly and legally. We can update these terms anytime.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MultiConvertLab (the "Service"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates or modifications to these terms.

2. Description of Service

MultiConvertLab provides free online file conversion tools including image, PDF, audio, and video converters, as well as developer utilities. Our tools process files locally in your browser using client-side technology, meaning your files are never uploaded to our servers unless explicitly stated otherwise.

3. Client-Side Processing & Privacy

Most of our conversion tools operate entirely within your web browser using technologies such as WebAssembly, Canvas API, and Web Workers. This means:

  • Your files are processed locally on your device
  • Files are not transmitted to or stored on our servers
  • We cannot access, view, or recover your converted files
  • All data is cleared when you close the browser tab

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use MultiConvertLab only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Use automated systems or bots to access the Service excessively
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service
  • Use the Service to process illegal, harmful, or infringing content
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or malicious content

5. Intellectual Property

The MultiConvertLab website, including its design, logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by FIRSTDEV and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to your own files that you process using our tools. We claim no ownership over user-uploaded content.

6. Third-Party Libraries & AI Tools

Our Service uses open-source libraries and AI models that run locally in your browser. Some tools (such as Background Remover) download AI models on first use. These models process data locally and do not send your files to external AI services. Third-party libraries are subject to their own licenses.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Results from conversions will be accurate or reliable
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MULTICONVERTLAB AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MultiConvertLab, FIRSTDEV, and their affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
